We know you because we used to be you. And we know there are all sorts of reasons why people can’t lose weight, however much they try.

Food can be a friend, a comforter, something that provides (sometimes very) short term happiness despite whatever else is going on in your life, and we never lose sight of this. There isn’t one answer for everyone, and we will never pretend that there is.

We take the time to get to know you and understand your relationship with food, and our initial consultation help us really understand the frustrations and obstacles that you've faced with managing a healthy weight.

The answers we give you will be perfect for you, not you and the hundreds of others who sign up for a “one solution fits all” weight loss scheme.

So, this is where the idea of Your Weight Mate came from. We feel that (hopefully inadvertently!) a lot of weight loss gurus and groups will make you feel ashamed of yourself and the way you live your life.

Weighing you in public, expecting you to have the time, money and inclination to take hours out of your day to cook complicated meals and generally making you feel as if healthy eating and permanent weight loss is something that will only be achieved by completely overhauling your life.

We completely disagree with this.

We absolutely believe that people will only permanently change if they are given the confidence to do so and are given a way in which to make the changes enjoyable. We will give you up to date and evidence based advice and show you how to adapt it into your life -health foods shops, spiralisers and quinoa are absolutely not required, and there is definitely no reason to throw away those take-away menus.
